HEAD OF SCHOOL

Justin and his family have been invested in the Wilson neighborhood for many years now, with a growing affection for the families of center-city Kenosha. Justin brings a mixture of academic and professional experience to KCA as Head of School. Prior to launching in 2022, Justin worked for the United States Department of Justice, was a pastor at CrossWay Community Church, and also led the after-school program at Wilson Elementary School, where he oversaw curriculum and managed classroom teachers. Justin earned a bachelor's degree in prelaw from Cedarville University and a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has been accepted to the MA program in educational leadership for classical schools at Gordon College, which he will begin in the summer of 2023. He has studied at Oxford University, guest lectured at Baylor University, and is a fellow in the Spreading Hope Network’s Founders Program. Justin is married to Catherine and they live with their three children in the Wilson neighborhood.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & DEVELOPMENT

Vince has a heart for serving others in the City of Kenosha and brings along with him a unique professional background. He served as a Kenosha police officer for 10 years. Vince left his policing career, seeing the school as an effective way to impact the community. As a Sergeant in the Kenosha Police Department, he was responsible for leading, training and evaluating police officers. In addition to his law enforcement leadership experience, Vince co-founded a local real estate brokerage where he leads and manages a team of real estate agents. Vince also brings a passion for pioneering, often in the form of building organizations and helping those entities become as effective as possible. Vince is married to Brittany and has three sons. His children attend KCA, and Brittany volunteers in the school. They are members of Crossway Community Church.

BOARD PRESIDENT

Jeff Trimark, M.D.

Medical Director, NorthShore University Health System

Jeff has lived in Kenosha since 1997 and serves as an elder at CrossWay Community Church, which he helped plant in 1999. Vocationally, Jeff has been practicing internal medicine since 1997. He currently serves as a clinician educator at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and is also a practicing clinician and administrator at NorthShore University Health System in Evanston, Ill. He has been married to Jenny for 30 years and they have two adult sons. Jeff and Jenny homeschooled their kids through eighth grade and experienced first-hand the benefits of a classical Christian education.

Jaran Bouie

Business Analytics Manager, Agile1

Jaran was born in Racine and grew up going to school in Kenosha. He is passionately invested in the Uptown neighborhood. He is a longtime member of 23rd Ave Church of Christ, where he currently serves on the Education and Youth Committee and teaches young adult Bible classes. He has also served as a regular volunteer and mentor at Wilson Elementary's after-school program. He is married to Ashley and the father of six children. Jaran has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA from UW-Parkside. He is a business solutions analyst for Agile1.

BOARD VICE PRESIDENT

Rev. Demetris Crum

Pastor, Second Baptist Church

Rev. Demetris Crum is the Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He and the congregation actively serve the community and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Crum earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from Michigan State University and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently working toward his Doctor of Ministry at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Crum is also an executive in a Fortune 100 company. He is recognized for delivering strategic and executional leadership in employee engagement, organization design, capability building, talent and performance management, and employee/labor relations. Rev. Crum is married to Joye Crum, and God has blessed them with a beautiful daughter, Joycelyn Crum. Rev. Crum is a strong advocate of Christian education. His motto is, “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5)

Crystal Miller

CEO, Frontida Assisted Living

Crystal is a principal owner and president of Frontida Assisted Living, a business operating in southeast and northeast Wisconsin. Frontida Assisted Living has been awarded Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Top Workplace award for six consecutive years and Crystal was recognized as the Kenosha Area Business Alliance Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018. Crystal has been active in leadership of several non-profit organizations and offers unique perspectives on how government, service agencies, and business can work together to accomplish positive outcomes. She is married to Steve, and they are parents to three children, Evan, Naomi, and Simon. She and her family attend and serve at Christ the King Church in downtown Kenosha.

Josh Mathews

Pastor, CrossWay Community Church

Josh was born and raised in Kenosha and has spent most of his life in this city, which he is proud to call his hometown. Since 2014, Josh has been a pastor at CrossWay Community Church, serving in a wide variety of roles. His passions include the good news of Jesus Christ, the uniqueness and wonder of people, food, and personal finance. Josh is married to Ruthie and a dad to Olive. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in accounting, was a CPA, and then transitioned to complete his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Tiffany Staples

Teacher, Zion-Benton Township High School

Tiffany joins the KCA Board with nearly 20 years of teaching experience. She's deeply passionate about educational equity and committed to serving diverse school communities. She is currently a doctoral student in the School of Education at Loyola University Chicago. Tiffany is a member of CrossWay Community Church.
